...Or Be Squared

To finally conclude our little introduction series, we'd like to shine the spotlight behind the curtain, on the last two members of our web family. Since both of their names start with C, The Intern and our director/producer are collectively labeled C2. They help keep our operation running smoothly by handling the filming and editing our videos, creating the amazing music, and generally rounding us yobbos up -- sometimes we get a bit out of hand. In addition to keeping us focused, these two lovely ladies keep our social media updated and you in the loop.

Without further ado, let's meet C2!

Hello, everyone. I am The Intern.

No, I am not paid. No, there was not an application process for the position. I'm actually the self-appointed intern because hawkeyeorhawkguy is my older brother, and I offered to help him with this project. So I do intern-type stuff, like assist any of the talent (but mostly our director) on Send More Robots. Most of the time I'll work behind the scenes, but I'll be making a few appearances when I'm not too busy with college or other junk. I also watch too much tv, listen to a lot of music and don't play enough video games. That's about it for me (but I promise our channel is much more exciting!).

Hey, y'all. Your friendly director/producer here.

Unlike these other cool kids, I don't have an internet name. Even "director/producer" is too big a title for me, but I'll do my best to live up to it. Before going to college, I had very little knowledge of -- or, frankly, any interest in -- comics, video games, and stuff like that. Funny story, true story: I hadn't even played a video game until I started dating hawkeyeorhawkguy. But thanks to him, I've become a bit more familiar with the expansive world of comic books (including artists), games (including Dungeons and Dragons. Umm...Carlos the Dwarf, anyone?), and all things Nerd. When I'm not learning interesting factoids from the other members of Send More Robots, I enjoy taking pictures and doing a bit of writing. They say the purpose of life is to be happy, and I couldn't be happier spending it creating with my friends. Thank you so much for being a part our Send More Robots community.

Now that you've met us, we want to meet you! Drop us a line on any of our social media sites: YouTubeFacebookTwitterTumblr, or Instagram. Feel free to leave us comments on this blog, as well. We want to work with you to produce content that we can all be proud of.

Thanks for reading. Catch ya later!

Pun about comics!

Hey, Mr. Hueth here! By now our first episode of Comics, Comics, etc. has been released (and you of course watched it and was all like, "OMG I FRIGGUN LUV CAMICS"). Guy and I talked a bit about the series we are following, but I neglected a good portion of mine due to one part bad memory and two parts not getting enough sleep. So I thought I should post up my list as it stands at the moment. If there are any related titles you think I should follow, please let me know. I may not get to them right away, as I lack a large sum of what some folks call "currency," but I'm willing to play a little bit of catch-up on a good series.

DC
-Batman: Detective Comics
-Batman Beyond Universe (GET OUT OF THERE, MCGINNIS!)
-Forever Evil: Arkham War
-New 52: Futures' End
-Green Arrow (Haven't been keeping up to date, so I should fix that, yeah?)

Marvel
-Hulk
-Ms. Marvel
-New Warriors
-Punisher
-Thunderbolts
-X-Force
-X-Men (Still looking for issue 2...)
-Wolverine and the X-Men

Here are some series that I'm thinking of continuing, but finding the single issues will be an enormous pain, so I may just go trade with these.
-Deadpool: The good, the bad, and the ugly
-Justice League
-New Avengers
-The Trial of the Punisher

I'm also following Furious (from Dark Horse) and enjoying it. From Image, I'm going to start picking up Rat Queens and The Wicked + The Divine. In trade, I'm working on:
-Batman
-Wonder Woman (Why does it have to die? Why pa?)
-Green Lantern: New Guardians
-Supergirl (I may end up catching up and then going for the single issues)

Like I said, if there is anything else you would recommend to me, I'm all digital ears.

Until next time, enjoy you're lives.
     Mr. Hueth

A Crown For a King

Hey guys and gals, I am Red King, but it'll likely be just Red... Or King..... Or Boss of the Galaxy, your pick.

But really, I am just like these the other two guys in the group of Send More Robots. I play a lot of video games -- it helps relieve the monotony of my retail job (as it seems with all of us) -- and I'll actually try to provide a service to the rest of you guys by looking like an idiot as I play through all the games we find/you request. I, truthfully haven't done much with my life except work and I briefly went to Kaplan College to get some sort of certification or degree to feel like I did something (Certified Rehab technician, CNA, Phlebotomist, and EKG Tech, and I still can't find work in that area!).

But really, this is all for the fun of it. I want to bring quality work and fun and entertainment to other people so that maybe you don't have to deal with the craziness of real life for just a few minutes out of the day. I really hope you enjoy everything we put out, as we will always put all of our hearts and minds into the task at hand. This is something we love to do, too, so we want it to be as awesome as it can be. It's a mad world out there, and when something doesn't kill ya, I hope it makes you stranger.

And the next contestant is... Mr. Hueth!

They told him the he could never re-unify the states... he said f*** you!
TIME LINCOLN!

I'm Mr. Hueth, but you'll probably hear me called "Shannon" a bit. Don't be startled, it's not your mind playing tricks on you. I assure you... you are quite sane. When I'm not ignoring things, I'll be trying my best to not bore you to death in these videos. I'm open to constructive criticism, unconstructive criticism, belligerent insults, sarcasm, new ideas, and other such inputs. We're currently working with limited time as all of us have restricted schedules (cause, you know, life).  Hopefully we'll be able to put out some quality stuff for you in a timely manner and we will be able to keep you entertained!

Kisses!

Welcome to Our Blog!

SEND MORE ROBOTS

Good evening everybody and welcome to the official blog of Send More Robots, a new internet channel dedicated to bringing you your weekly dose of nerdom and humor. Our merry little cadre will be covering everything from our favorite comic artists to our least favorite weathermen (probably not, but you never know). We'll be dropping our first videos tomorrow, but prior to that we wanted to tell you all a little more about ourselves in the most intimate way we know how. With our words.

So I'll put my money where my fingers are and start off this introduction fest. My handle is hawkeyeorhawkguy, but the others will often abbreviate this to "Hawk" or "Guy" for the sake of brevity. I'm just your mild-mannered human who works an unremarkable retail job by day and gallivants through the magical world of comics and vidjagarms by night. Admittedly, I wasn't always a video game and comic fan, but I was always a table-top gamer and avid reader. It wasn't until college that I was really bitten by the nerd bug, and unfortunately I didn't wake up with spider-like abilities, just a consistently empty wallet.

Here I am now, two years after graduating from the University of California with a degree in history (that I still have yet to pick up from the registrar's office) and my wallet is still empty. But I think I may have found a way to justify the bookcase full of comic trades and those single issues littering my room. With Send More Robots I can hopefully use my knowledge of the comic-verse to enlighten and assist others as they embark on their journeys through a land that is increasingly difficult to navigate. Boom, Dark Horse, DC, Dynamite, Marvel, Image, Valiant... Where do you even start?

I have no idea. But when I was 14 and I first read Batman: Bloodstorm, I wasn't worried about publishers. I just wanted another comic. And to this day I'm the same way. I'm far from an expert, but I'm here to help, and I'm here to learn from you. So let's get reading, huh?
